Dinner at the Folk's House

Asian apple and spring mix salad with balsamic reduction

My friends often ask me, "Where did you learn how to cook?" I always say that I was raised in a foodie family, who valued the art of cooking. My sister and I grew up cooking; from our lemon meringue pies to our tator tots and fish sticks, we took pride in preparing meals.

I went to my parent's house for a casual dinner this past weekend, and, as usual, the food was fantastic. It was Sunday night, not a dinner party, but I'd say this meal would be well suited for just about any occasion.

Teriyaki filet mignon, baked potato, salad and grilled vegetables
