My seared Ahi sandwich at Thirsty BearSince I was leaving to go back to Los Angeles early last Thursday evening, I knew I would not have the opportunity to go to ACME Chophouse for Sam's Dining Out for Life dinner. In fact, the only meal out that day would be a business meeting with a potential vendor, and they would be choosing the restaurant.
So I was very happy to find out that the restaurant they chose, Thirsty Bear Brewing Company, was a participant in Dining Out SF. As we walked in, I noticed the sign on the window and excitedly told my lunch companions that they'd made a great choice. 25% of our bill would be going toward a very good cause.
Sadly, I found out later that Thirsty Bear was only going to donate money from their dinner receipts, not lunch. Such a bummer!
